Day 5 of "Seven Days of Quilt Cards"

Happy Friday Everyone, Today is day 5 of my series seven days of quilt cards. This card was made using a 3/4" punch. You can see details to make these cards on day 2, just scroll down.

This is one of my favorite quilt cards to make. (I need to go back and fix a couple of the triangle patches though.) Because I like the simple look of this I decided not to add any stitch marks on this one.  After I finished this I went back in with a marker and added some color to the white patterned paper. I felt it need that to pull the apricot color in. I stamped the label with a dotted argyle print (in matching ink) and then stamped happy birthday on top.

2 More days until Blog Candy Yeah!

That's right I'll be giving this away on day 7. What is it you ask? Why this is faux stitching tape. So very cool and easy to use.  Anne of Paper Patch Crafts has a great tutorial showing you how easy this is to use. http://paperpatchcrafts1.blogspot.com/2010/06/faux-stitching-tape-tutorial.html

See you tomorrow with day 6 of  the quilt series, until then happy crafting.

I also agree that the stitching is not really necessary on this card.
