Day 4 of "Seven Days of Quilt Cards"

Hi Ya Ladies, Today is day four of my series "Seven Days of Quilts". This card is an easel card that uses only two colors, Whisper White and Apricot Appeal, both from Stampin Up. I often use Stampin Up designer paper for my quilts. I find that the small patterns lend themselves to a quilt look. The blocks are cut using a 3/4" punch.
I used a white Gelly Roll pen to add some stitching around the patches. After completing my block I mounted it on apricot then white card stock. Then I cut the card the same width. That way I have a perfect fit.

I find the sentiment very versatile just by adding a special message inside. This stamp can be used as a get well card, I miss you card or just to let someone know you care. After stamping this I heat embossed it using a fine clear embossing powder.

New to easel cards? Here's a great tutorial to show you how.
If you haven't visited this site you must! It's a great sourse of information.

Blog Candy? That's right I'll be giving away blog candy at the end of this series.

Well that's it for today. Be sure to stop back tomorrow for another quilt card.
